Awesome place to get a dinner and a treat for the kids. Huge menu and they serve breakfast anytime! The ice cream selection is awesome and they have lots of specialties like the ice cream parlors of yore. Super kid friendly, the staff are wonderful and every time I've been there management comes out to ask how everything is. They also have gaming machines if that's your thing.

There aren't a lot of old-fashioned soda fountains around, but Buffalo Restaurant and Ice Cream Parlor has it. We just came for the ice cream, and it was tasty. I got a (huge) chocolate shake, the wife got a hot fudge brownie sundae and the kids each got single scoops (also huge). The kids were in heaven, and the wife and I needed a nap afterwards. The next time we come back, we'll have to try the food. It looked very good and I think they serve breakfast all day.

I had a wonderful time here for an evening ice-cream date. Our waitress was attentive and well-mannered, and helped us navigate their huge selection of ice-cream options. You can't go wrong with desserts here; if ice-cream isn't your thing, they have brownies and plenty of cake available too. The atmosphere gives you those classic diner vibes, but it's subtle enough to not be distracting. I can't speak for their regular food menu, but this place is definitely worth a visit for your sweet tooth cravings.

Burgers and fries are some of the absolute BEST I've ever eaten, even day after when rewarmed in a microwave. The servings are huge and could serve as a meal for two or two meals for one. The ice cream sundaes are absolutely phenomenal, also huge and delightfully sweet. Only reason service gets 4/5 stars is because the guy that gave us our menus, just threw them on a table, motioned us toward it, then walked away to get back on his phone. Our actual server was a doll though, she was attentive and pleasant to talk to.

Felt like a meal cooked from grandma's kitchen. Large portions made sure leftovers came home. Was in the area visiting but I think we've found our new stop when driving through!

Delicious and Quiet Place. Great place to eat in Buffalo Grove Illinois. They have really big portions and very nice service. My family and I enjoyed visiting this restaurant. Thanks for the delicious food :)

Ever since I was little I have wanted to come here for ice cream. I was in middle school when my dad and I first drove past this on our way to a school field trip to the Berto Center. He said no that day when I asked, and ever since then when I've driven past it I've thought to myself "I'm going in there one of these days". Well the other day I drove past it again and I finally made the plans to do it. I looked at the reviews a little disheartened that it was 2/5 stars. I didn't experience 2/5 service, I experienced 5/5 service. It was cute in there, paintings of buffalos on the walls. Felt nostalgic. The waitress was patient, kind, and made great recommendations. My friends ordered food, and I waited to just eat ice cream. I did have a few bites of food, one friend had gotten a salad with a some sort of sweet dressing, and chicken salad in it. I don't remember what it was called, but I wouldn't order it myself. The cheese curds I tried though were great! On to the best part - the ice cream. We ordered one to share and it came with like 5 scoops, toppings, and whip cream. It was great, and not inflated in price. I think it was around $12 for that monster bowl of ice cream. The food is OK but i'd recommend coming here for the ice cream!

I meet here once a month with a group I belong to. They always give us the private room and are very accommodating with separate checks no matter how large the party. The food and service is always stellar. Portions are large so there are plenty of leftovers to take home.

I have been coming to the Buffalo since I was a kid and hate to see it so empty as today. I know it's a week night but I didn't expect to be the only ones there at 6:45p. Anyway, my meal was delicious and honestly the fruit was outstanding considering it's January. Service was kind and attentive. I know I will be back I just hope patronage picks up because these kind of places are getting too far and few between. Who doesn't love a good breakfast for dinner!

I will eat breakfast food for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. So the Buffalo Restaurant & Ice Cream Parlor serving breakfast all day long holds a special place in my heart. We went on a Saturday evening and to my surprise this restaurant was packed with people. We were seated quickly and the server waited on us quickly as well. I ordered the pumpkin spice pancakes because that's what everyone does after Labor Day. My husband prdered the Irish skillet, which consisted of corned beef hash, scrambled eggs (although you can get them any way you want), hash browns, and a side of pancakes. The were four pumpkin panackes served with the order. They had a strong pumpkin flavor and tasted malty. The corned beef hash tasted fresh and paired well with the hash browns and pancakes. The servings were large so we took home leftovers for Sunday morning. The prices were reasonable and there did not seem to be a shortage of wait staff. The bathrooms were bigger and cleaner than your typical neigborhood diner. All around a positive experience. I look foreard to returning to try some non-breakfast items.
